One of the biggest problems I’ve been having where the whole website design for Play the Planet is concerned is that my hosting plan only gives me 64k of RAM to work with.
That’s not very much.
I looked into dedicated hosting plans, and they’re all upwards of a hundred bucks a month, which kinda sucks, sooo….
I figured, well…the whole point of this project is DIY, so why not a DIY server?
Just ordered one. It’s being configured now, and I should have it in a couple weeks. I’ll be going from 64k of RAM available to 8gigs….that should do it. And a smokin’ 4 terrabyte hybrid hard drive (8gigs solid state). Looks like PtP is about to have its own, permanent home!
